Wedding Celebrations - Rose

A couple of weekends ago we celebrated my cousin and her partner tying the knot, it was such a beautiful day and apart from it being a little windy at the beach the weather was perfect.

Although the ceremony wasn't until late afternoon, the preparations for the day started fairly early. I was in charge of makeup for the bride and my sister and of course had to have time to get myself ready in between. I loved doing the makeup for both of them, it was so fun coming up with the looks to suit what they wanted and I was so honored that my cousin asked me to do it for her big day.

The way the garden was set up for the reception was so pretty. Flowers, fairy lights and candles were scattered around the whole place and once it got dark and all the candles lit up it looked so magical. I especially loved the floral arrangements my mum put together in the mason jars, They turned out so well.

Unfortunately because the day was so busy I didn't get a chance to take as many photos as I would have liked. It was such an epic day and was so fun celebrating with my family.

Beach Hunt - Stella

Before I left for Sydney, I wanted to make the most of my time at my favourite local beaches around Perth. There are so many beautiful spots around my area and I love spending days by the ocean, getting covered in sea salt and sand.

This beautiful day was spent frolicking the beach covered in beautiful shell jewels and a stunning Vintage Junkyard Kimono. I was also lucky enough to wear this head piece that Rose made for me. She has been getting creative lately, making some jewellery, and I love what she comes up with.

I can't wait to explore some Sydney beaches and hopefully discover some new little spots for me to spend my days relaxing at. If anyone is from Sydney, let me know what you think the best beaches are so I can check them out.

Laneway Love - Rose

When the lineup for Laneway Festival was announced back in September I was so excited. Usually there are only a couple of bands I actually care for seeing at festivals but this time there were so many, including some of my absolute favorites.

Honestly, every single band I saw sounded incredible live. It was so amazing to be able to stand there and listen to music I usually have on repeat for my daily drive to work and have it sound even better in person. The vibe around the whole place was so chilled and friendly, I spotted so many cute outfits that I wanted to steal too.

Chilling out in the sunshine listening to great music with friends was such a perfect way to spend my weekend, it's so good to see way more bands dropping in to Perth now days. Hopefully I will catch a few more of my favorites later on in the year.

I am loving the throwback to the 90's with this denim overall trend. There are so many cool ones in stores at the moment, in all different cuts and washes of denim. I am obsessed with the look of the longer overalls too but I don't have the guts to give them a go, Its so funny how styles come back in fashion. Who would have thought these would make a comeback back any time soon?

Breakfast and Goodbye - Rose

As you know by now, Stella has taken off across Australia to hit up Sydney for a while. Knowing we won't see each other for a few months we spent as much time as possible together on the lead up to her leaving.

We both LOVE breakfast so we went to one of our favorite spots Chinta as one of our final goodbye dates. It has such a cool vibe with all the miss match decor, we absolutely love it and the food is delicious. They sell a range of clothes, accessories and home wares too which are always beautiful and come in all these bright and fun colours. It's definitely a place everyone needs to check out if your in the Scarborough area, i'm sure you will love it as much as we do.

As hard as it was to say goodbye to Stella, I am so happy and proud of her. She is so adventurous and I know she is going to have a great time.

Adventure -Stella

I have decided to transfer the first semester of uni to Sydney this year. My boyfriend and I wanted a change of scene and start a new journey, so as I have a lot of family in Sydney, we decided we would spend some time living there.

We venture off this weekend, driving across Australia and arriving in Sydney in about a week. I am so excited for this new chapter. I really can't wait to explore another city. I've always really loved Sydney so I think we will really enjoy living there for a while.

I will, however, miss Rose like crazy. I don't know how I will manage without seeing her everyday, but I know we will still remain as close as ever, and luckily Rose has some epic things planned at the start of this year too. We are continuing our blog of course! so keep following to see our upcoming adventures unfold.

Gypsy Family - Stella

Recently, I had the pleasure of spending the morning with Helen from Gyspylovinglight. Helen is so inspiring, she always looks like an absolute goddess in her pictures. When given the opportunity, however, she loves to switch it up and get creative behind the camera. I was lucky enough to be shot by Helen for the second time a few weeks ago. We headed down to our local beach to create some magic together. I am so happy with how these pictures turned out and I learnt so much when shooting with Helen. This woman is incredible!

Helen and I met about a year and a half ago when she was looking for some occasional help with her kids. I am studying to be a primary school teacher and absolutely love children so I met with Helen and I have been helping her out ever since. Her two children are so beautiful and I love spending time with them whenever I can. They have so much joy, energy and life and they bring me so much happiness when I get to hang out with them. I feel blessed to have met Helen and her family and I am so grateful to her for everything she has done for me over the last year and half.
