Goodbye Weekend - Rose

Work has been so hectic the last couple of weeks. Most nights I have been finishing late and have been getting home close to dark so I feel like I haven't seen the sun. I'm probably turning a sickly shade of pale due to lack of vitamin D - Not a good look for most. Its been lovely to have some down time on the weekends and not have to think about work for a while, of course Monday always comes back around before you know it.

Exploring - Stella

Moving to a new city for a little while is one of the best things I've ever done. It's so much fun to be surrounded by unknown places and unknown people. I have had so much fun exploring Sydney the last few weeks. I was getting to know Perth all too well and it was becoming a little boring to me. Spending my days venturing out and discovering new things has been amazing. This day was spent walking around my local suburb, Newtown. I came across this park with this huge tree and thought it would be an awesome place to stop and shoot some pictures.

Last Days of Summer - Rose

Summer is slowly fading away so I have been making most of the weather before the clouds come rolling in. Apart from the odd Breaking Bad episode here and there, I spent most part of the weekend at the beach which is quite unusual for me despite living so close. With a lot more spare time on my hands now that my partner in crime has moved, I have really been enjoying soaking up the rays and capturing some beautiful sunsets. What a shame summer is now coming to an end just as I am beginning to appreciate its beauty.

New Wheels - Stella

Since I have recently moved to Sydney, I do not have a car. I left my car and a lot of belongings back home, as I only plan on staying here for the first semester of uni this year. We are renting a room from my brother in an apartment in Newtown which is very close to my uni. More importantly, Newtown is filled with bars, restaurants and great little vintage clothing stores. I am loving living here.

I thought it would be a great idea to buy a bike. It's an easy way for me to get around and a faster way for me to get to my uni. I got this beauty on gumtree for $100. It is practically brand new. I am so excited. I love the retro look of this bike and the basket is perfect to carry any food shopping or textbooks.

Breakfast Club - Rose

Every second weekend or so I spend a girly day with my mum and sister to catch on life. Lately we have been trying out different breakfast spots around Perth and hitting up the local stores. Its so nice spending quality time with each other and having a good laugh, of course indulging on delicious food and coffee makes it all the more fun. I am such a breakfast girl, I could eat it all day everyday - YUM.

If you know of any amazing cafe's around Perth let me know, I love trying out new places.

Zoe Foster - Stella

On Friday night, I was lucky enough to have the pleasure of attending Zoe Foster's book launch. The Wrong Girl is Zoe's new book and she has currently been doing a series of cocktail events around Australia to promote the it.

I am a serious Zoe Foster fan. When I found out about this event I HAD to attend. Tickets came out one morning when my boyfriend and I were driving across from Perth to Sydney. We were in the middle of nowhere and I was starting to stress out about my lack of reception and how I was going to buy my tickets. Thankfully, we drove through a tiny little town and I got some reception so I made my boyfriend pull over and we sat on the side of the road purchasing these tickets before we continued on. Well worth it.

The event was fantastic and meeting Zoe Foster was incredible. She is so beautiful, funny and such inspiring woman. Zoe was interviewed, then she signed a copy of everyones books and met each and every one of us. It was a memorable night and I'm so glad I got to attend.
